A completed repair will always leave a small blemish on the windshield. The resin we use to fill the chip is transparent and does blend with the windshield to reduce the visible damage by up to 95%. However, the missing glass from the impact point is what will leave a scar on the windshield. Waiting to get a chip or crack repaired will also cause the damaged area to scar more, leaving it unsealed, the area will collect dust and debris from the elements. Waiting one month will account for roughly a 5% increase in the visible blemish.

\nIt is important to note that the main reason we perform repairs is to stop the spread of damage and restore the structural integrity of the windshield. Windshield repair and windshield replacement are two different options for dealing with a damaged windshield. We highly recommended repairing any damage to a windshield ASAP to avoid replacement. Replacements can cost you anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the technology associated with your windshield. Repairing your windshield will always be the more time and cost-efficient option.

\nThe original factory windshield is stronger than many of the aftermarket brands you will get when replacing your windshield. Aftermarket windshields cannot withstand the same amount of impact as the original and tend to crack easier. Repairing the original factory windshield will also maintain the factory seal that glass shops struggle to replicate. With all this in mind we highly recommend repairing over replacing.
