Frequently Asked Questions

At Any Crack Windshield Repair, we aim to provide easy-to-understand answers to common questions. This can help people to feel more informed and confident in their decision-making.

We value your time so we don’t require appointments. That’s why we strive to get you back on the road as quickly as possible, often in as little as 15 minutes!

A completed repair will always leave a small blemish on the windshield. The resin we use to fill the chip is transparent and does blend with the windshield to reduce the visible damage by up to 95%. However, the missing glass from the impact point is what will leave a scar on the windshield. Waiting to get a chip or crack repaired will also cause the damaged area to scar more, leaving it unsealed, the area will collect dust and debris from the elements. Waiting one month will account for roughly a 5% increase in the visible blemish.

It is important to note that the main reason we perform repairs is to stop the spread of damage and restore the structural integrity of the windshield. An added benefit is that the visibility of the chip is greatly reduced.

Windshield repair and windshield replacement are two different options for dealing with a damaged windshield. We highly recommended repairing any damage to a windshield ASAP to avoid replacement. Replacements can cost you anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars depending on the technology associated with your windshield. Repairing your windshield will always be the more time and cost-efficient option.

The original factory windshield is stronger than many of the aftermarket brands you will get when replacing your windshield. Aftermarket windshields cannot withstand the same amount of impact as the original and tend to crack easier. Repairing the original factory windshield will also maintain the factory seal that glass shops struggle to replicate. With all this in mind we highly recommend repairing over replacing.

If we believe that the damage on your windshield is too severe to repair, we will recommend replacement as it will be in your best interest.

It is best to get a windshield repaired as soon as a chip or crack is noticed. Ignoring or delaying the repair of a chip or crack can lead to the damage spreading, which can weaken the structural integrity of the windshield and make it more difficult to repair. It can also obstruct the drivers view of the road which can lead to an accident.

We offer a 20% discount to returning customers within the same season as a way to reward their loyalty and show appreciation for their business. This encourages customers to take care of any damage as soon as possible and helps to ensure that their vehicle’s windshield is in the best condition possible for their safety.

Unlike some of our competitors, we can operate through windy conditions and mild rain since the kiosk is anchored and allows us to pull cars inside. However, on heavier rain days we will not be able to operate. Our drive-up service is closed throughout the winter months as we cannot operate below 0 degrees celsius. Typically, our operational months run from April through to the end of October.

Cost-effectiveness: Windshield repair is almost always more affordable than replacement, making it a more cost-effective option for minor damage. In recent years, advances in windshield repair technology have increased the average replacement cost by adding additional requirements such as: the recalibration of the cruise control, heads up display and rain sensors. Some windshields can cost up to $3500 dollars to replace!

Convenience: Our windshield repair services can be done quickly and conveniently, with no appointment necessary. Often you will be back on the road in just 15 minutes.

Preservation of original factory seal: Repairing a chip or crack preserves the original factory seal of the windshield, which is essential for the proper function of the vehicle’s safety systems.

Preventing the spread of damage: Repairing a chip or crack can prevent the damage from spreading, which can save the cost of a full replacement in the future.

Maintaining structural integrity: A repaired chip or crack returns the structural integrity of the windshield back to 100%, ensuring the safety of the vehicle’s occupants in the event of an accident.

Eco-friendly: Repairs are better for the environment than replacing a windshield because it uses less materials and keeps the non-reusable windshield out of the dump.
